Coronation Street is not the only acting credit Brabin has under her belt.

Brabin has also had notable roles in EastEnders as Roxy Drake and Carole in Emmerdale.

Her other credits include Law and Order: UK, Undeniable and Midsomer Murders.

Brabin last appeared on screen in 2014 as Roz Conlon in Casualty.

In August 2016, Brabin stood as MP in the Batley and Spen by-election and in October 2016, she was officially elected.

From 2017 until January 7, 2020, Brabin served as the Shadow Minister for Early Years.

She appointed Shadow Culture Secretary by Jeremy Corbyn on January 7, succeeding Deputy Labour Leader, Tom Watson.
