Top Gear: Paramedics help Ore Oduba after his car swerves off the BBC test lap track

The hit BBC show is currently preparing to return for a brand new series which will include Strictly Come Dancing star Ore taking on the famed Star In A Reasonably Priced Car segment.

Spotted behind the driving seat of a red Toyota sports car, the 31-year-old TV presenter could be seen to run out of track.

The BBC’s ambulance raced to help Ore move the car off of the grass as he beamed with excitement after the adrenaline-filled lap.

Joined by presenter Rory Reid, new host of the show alongside Matt Le Blanc and Chris Harris, the team appeared to be on good spirits.

Jockey Frankie Dettori and Olympian Max Whitlock also swerved off the track and onto the grass, but were all smiles.

Impressionist Jon Culshaw also took on the lap before comedian Shazia Mirza took her turn.

Host Chris was seen to give the car a push, signalling that none of the stars would make the wall of record-breaking lap times.

A Top Gear spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “The ambulance is there all the time as is standard practice and whilst they did come over it to him it was only for the paramedics to help Ore push the car out of the grass.”

It comes after the BBC released a new trailer for the programme which saw the presenters attempt to get car insurance for their vehicles.

“The new trailer clearly shows the BBC attempting to establish the hosts as a trio.

“They had such great success with the former team, so it’s no surprise they’re hoping the formula will work once more,” a source told the Sun.

will return to this spring.
