This Morning viewers BAFFLED by manager who gives employees PAID 'pet-ternity' leave

Greg Buchanan told the ITV hosts that he had one week at home to help settle in his second pup because it was a bit nervous around their first dog.

Believing it would be unfair to not offer his employees the same, the boss explained that all members of staff could take a short amount of time off work to settle their pets.

“Not every business is able to have this, but introducing a puppy to a home is so important,” Greg explained.

As the group debated the matter, viewers were confused by the matter with some saying they had “heard it all”.

One This Morning fan posted on Twitter: “Pet-ternity? Are they taking the p*** #ThisMorning.”

Another added: “Pet-ternity… NGL it sounds ridiculous #ThisMorning.”(sic)

A third agreed, saying: “‘Pet-ternity’ @thismorning. Christ I’ve heard it all now! #ThisMorning #Bonkers.”

A fourth joked: “Watch the increase of your staff getting pets for some time off. Idiot #ThisMorning.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10.30am.
