Holly Willoughby introduced the ITV show with the news of a little boy who was born on Friday morning. But a twist revealed that the newborn had a mop of light hair very like Phillip’s.
Holly began: “His mum Claire Kelly sent the picture saying he’s had non-stop comments about his incredible silver hair.
“He’s had so much attention that her husband even asked if she’s had an affair with Phillip Schofield,” she continued.
But while Phillip kept quiet during his co-host’s reveal, when she read that Noah’s dad wants to know if he is actually Phillip’s love child, the 55-year-old posed next to the picture of Noah very seriously.
The resemblance was uncanny as Phillip squinted his eyes and puffed out his cheeks, with Holly chiming in: “Yes! There is something very similar about that.”
Suddenly there was silence in the studio as Phillip replied directly to the camera: “Yeah, and what’s more, you promised you’d never tell.”
Holly, 36, gasped and burst out laughing at the admission, as Phillip added: “But, hi.”
As the pair attempted to stop doubling over in hysterics, Holly calmed herself down.
“Aaaw he’s gorgeous, congratulations,” she said, before Phillip piped back up, saying: “Of course he is!”
The long-time presenters and friends have worked together for 12 years and are notorious for setting each other off in the studio. They continued to giggle as they moved on to the rest of the news.
