The Walking Dead fans have only just got over the death of the beloved character Carl Grimes (played by Chandler Riggs).
With his father Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) now in mourning, viewers have expected him to adhere to Carl’s dying wishes.
Carl’s emotional goodbye saw him telling Rick that he ought to turn over a new leaf and to stop the fighting, in an effort to build a better future.
What’s more, he gave Rick two letters, one addressed to him, and another to Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), providing instructions on what he wants them to do with their lives.
Tomorrow’s episode, titled The Lost and the Plunderers, sees Simon (Steven Ogg) take on Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) over the loyalty of The Scavengers.
Following the community’s harrowing fate, Enid (Katelyn Nacon) and Aaron (Ross Marquand) arrive at Oceanside, as they try to convince Cyndie (Sydney Park) to assist Alexandria in taking on The Saviors.
But after she denies the request, viewers will see Rick contacting Negan about their ongoing fight.
Speaking to him on a walkie talkie, Rick reads the letters to Negan, telling him what Carl wanted from the two of them.
He reveals that Carl wants the leaders to stop fighting, and to work together to stop the constant murder that is happening.
True to his dying words, Carl pleads for peace from the two leaders.
However Rick’s actions turn sinister, as he tells Negan that a ceasefire will never happen – going against Carl’s wishes.
The pair lock words one final time before cutting the radio frequency, confirming that their war is back on.
With Rick going back on his final promise to Carl, does he have a plan to stop the war?
Or is his lust for Negan’s death too great to be stopped?
The Walking Dead continues tomorrow on FOX UK.
