The Walking Dead season 7: Eugene comes face to face with Lucille in new Negan trailer

When Rosita (played by Christian Serratos) tried to kill Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the mid-season finale, the big baddie decided to capture Eugene (Josh McDermitt) as punishment.

In the latest teaser video, Eugene reiterates that he is “a smarty pants” after threatening him with Lucille.

“Well Eugene. I know you remember Lucille,” teases Negan.

He threatens: “Now under normal circumstances, I’d be showing you that real close over and over again. But Eugene, all I really want to know is if you are a smarty pants.”

Fan theories look set to be correct, as it seems that Eugene won’t actually die, but will instead be recruited by Negan to make bullets after he spilled the beans on his secret factory.

The synopsis for episode 11, titled ‘Hostiles and Calamities’, reads: “An Alexandrian discovers they must navigate the mysterious, confusing and terrifying world within the Saviors’ compound.”

Fans now know this will be Eugene who must learn Negan’s rule, but after the trailer shows Negan warming up his iron, will the loveable Alexandrian escape completely scott-free?

Considering Daryl (Norman Reedus) escaped the compound during the mid-season finale, killing Fat Joey on the way, bloodthirsty Negan will find his revenge in some way or another.

Meanwhile, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is busy building his army to fight the Saviors.

Last week’s episode saw him strike a deal with the Scavengers, lead by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), after battling with the spiked walker.

The Walking Dead continues Monday on FOX at 9pm.
