The Voice UK: ‘Disappointed’ Fans UPSET with Sir Tom Jones for this reason

The Voice UK is back, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

That said, the coaches do sometimes get it wrong with the blind auditions, and that’s what happened this evening.

Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, Olly Murs and Jennifer Hudson were all back in those iconic red chairs to listen to some new contestants.

The very first contestant on tonight’s show was Luke Swatman from Worcester, and he blew the house down.

People in the audience were standing, employing the judges to press their buttons.

However, it seemed as though the opera singer didn’t entirely convince them.

Olly did look over at will.i.am at one point and mouthed, “You should turn.”

Will.i.am replied, “You turn,” and all judges seemed to be rather hesitant to turn for Luke.

Eventually, Olly and Jennifer turned for him at the very last second, yet viewers were upset with Sir Tom for not turning.

One fan wrote: “I’m disappointed in Tom for not turning for him. Thank God someone did.”

Another said: “Tom should have turned.”

“I really do hate it when the judges start saying they’re really good but never turn,” commented a third viewer.

Fans were quick to compliment Luke and his awe-inspiring voice on social media.

One person wrote: “‘Someone’s got to turn’ Then bloody turn then. Thank god you did

Another added: “Luke is amazing, what a voice.”

“Something about this man has touched everyone in our house, we’re all in tears,” commented a second viewer.

A third viewer wrote: “Luke! That was class!”

Fans will be hoping that Luke does well on the competition so that they get to hear more of his incredible voice.

Luke eventually opted to go with Jennifer as his coach and the two will undoubtedly make a great team.

The Voice UK 2019 continues next Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
