The Voice UK 2018: Jennifer Hudson to be REPLACED? Viewers call for new judge

Tonight’s instalment saw X Factor winner Leona return to her singing competition roots but this time as a guest mentor alongside regular coach Jennifer.

As fans gushed over the blonde bombshell’s singing prowess and “incredible” duet with the judge, it didn’t take long before they were sold on the star joining the panel for the next series.

If Leona were to join the ITV series however, she would most likely join will.i.am, Tom Jones and Olly Murs on the panel and replace American crooner Jennifer, as the pair have similar voices and singing styles.

Sharing their excitement for the prospect, viewers expressed themselves on Twtter.

One person wrote: “Leona Lewis should be a coach next year please! #TheVoiceUK.”

“Could definitely see Leona as a coach one year #ThevoiceUK,” another shared.

A third declared: “Leona is the only positive beautiful thing that has ever come out of these cr*p shows #TheVoiceUK.”

Another surprising moment on tonight’s show saw the Bleeding Love singer bump into her old school friend and contestant Jason Nicholson-Porter.

The duo were utterly shocked when they discovered they went to the same Secondary school, but Leona only had words of support for the potential star.

Following a reunion hug, she explained: “I haven’t seen Jason since we were 12.

“I’m so proud to see him here.”

“You can sing,” Olly Murs later said to the hopeful. “Just a massive amount of applause for that. Your vocal ability is insane.”

Amazed at the coincidence, one fan tweeted: “Jason went to school with Leona? What are the chances! That’s amazing #TheVoiceUK.”

While another echoed: “That’s weird. Jason went to school with Leona. #TheVoiceUK.”

Jennifer and Leona also combined their powerhouse vocals to sing a duet together.

“OMG CANCEL The Voice and just let Leona and Jennifer sing that song please #TheVoiceUK,” one shocked viewer added.

The Voice continues Saturday at 8.30pm on ITV.
