The Voice UK 2017: 'It's hard' Linda Lusardi's daughter Lucy DEVASTATED by battle round

Lucy, 20, told Express.co.uk: “She and I are quite good friends and we’ve become friends through it. It’s hard being against each other but it’s what you have to do and it’s part of the process. We’re both aware that we’re both trying to do our best.”

The brunette beauty, daughter of Page Three favourite Linda, said that their battle won’t be “a shouting contest” and insisted: “There’s going to be absolutely no bad feelings at all between us.”

Lucy, who wowed the judges with her audition, performing The Shirelles Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, let slip that she will get to express her soulful side again in their track for The Voice‘s battle episode tonight, Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time.

The part-time model, who made it onto Sir Tom Jones’ team after impressing with her audition, said: “It’s just down to luck and what Tom wants in that moment, who he feels in that moment he wants to take through the competition.”

The battles round is always dramatic, with contestants paired up to go head-to-head in order to win a pass to the next round of the ITV singing competition.

Each judge is also able to ‘steal’ up to two hopefuls if their fellow coaches reject them.

Lucy, who sings, acts and models, opened up about her decision to focus on her music, saying: “While I’m on The Voice singing is going to be my main focus and it always really had been my main focus.

“Modelling and acting have just been something to do to subsidise me doing my singing.”

The contestants were taken to the iconic Abbey Road Studios for filming and were even in the room with the piano that the Beatles used to rehearse with.

Lucy admitted the experience was quite overwhelming: “Just being in Abbey Road Studios is amazing in itself. Being in Abbey Road Studios with the Beatles’ piano is even more amazing. And being in that room with all of those things with Tom Jones… I sort of stood there thinking ‘How is this real? How is this real life?'”

The Voice UK continues tonight at 8.30pm on ITV.
