The highly anticipated second season of The Sinner started last week with Bull Pullman back in the lead role.
Episode one kicked off last Wednesday in the States on the USA Network where it will air on Wednesday nights.
The psychological crime drama is expected to then be added to Netflix later this year.
Season one followed Jessica Biel as young mother Cora Tannetti who stabbed a man to death on the beach for seemingly no reason.
Detective Harry Ambrose (played by Bill Pullman) investigated the reasons why she committed the crime in the genre-defining ‘whodunit’ series.
However, Cora’s story is finished and a new case is being explored in season two.
Season two is centred around the murder of two parents by their 11-year-old son.
Bill Pullman’s character is back and leading the investigation but who are the new cast members?

Who is in the cast of The Sinner season 2?
Carrie Coon – Vera Walker
Star of The Leftovers and Fargo season three Carrie Coon takes on the role of Vera in The Sinner season two.
Vera is described as a “formidable, mysterious woman who struggles between upholding the ideals of the community she leads and fulfilling her own desires”.
The character’s identity is not yet clear but she appeared in flashback scenes in episode one and claimed to be the mother of Julian Walker (Elisha Henig).
Coon is also well-known for her roles in films Gone Girl and The Post.

Natalie Paul – Detective Heather Novack
Playing a local detective investigating the case is Natalie Paul from HBO’s The Deuce.
Detective Heather Novack is still in training and ends up calling Ambrose to consult on the double homicide which has no clear motive.
Paul has also starred in movie Crown Heights and in Netflix’s Luke Cage.

Hannah Gross – Marin
Hannah Gross plays Marin, Heather’s high school best friend who disappeared from town years ago in a cloud of mystery.
Her role in the upcoming series is not yet clear.
Gross is best known for playing Debbie Mitford in Netflix serial killer drama Mindhunter.
She has also starred in I Used to be Darker and Christmas Again.

Elisha Henig – Julian Walker
Elisha Henig from Alex, Inc. stars as the 11-year-old boy who killed his parents with seemingly no motive.
The subject of the season two investigation, Julian poisoned his mother and father in episode one.
He is described as a “bright but peculiar young boy on the brink of adolescence who is from a sheltered, unconventional background and is now thrust into the outside world”.
Henig has also starred in Mr Robot, American Vandal and Transparent.

Other cast members include Tracy Letts as Jack Novack, Ellen Adair as Bess McTeer and Adam David Thompson as Adam Lowry.
David Call plays Andy ‘Brick’ Brickowski and Jay O. Sanders plays Chief Tom Lidell.
Brady Jenness stars as a young Harry Ambrose.
