The Grand Tour sees Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond travel the world in some of the most luxurious and sporty cars.
Amazon Prime’s motoring series, presented by the former Top Gear stars, will soon be returning for one final season in the format it is known as now.
Earlier in the year, Clarkson admitted the show won’t follow a “studio-base” format after season three airs.
But after that, the future is a little uncertain as to how the show will actually look.
Speaking to Radio Times, Clarkson met up with the magazine on the set of the final season they were contracted to make.
But when asked if he wanted to do more, Clarkson joked: “For the last month we’ve been talking to Amazon, who do love us and we love working with them, so I hope there’s something.
“I don’t know the answer,” he insisted.
Teasing, Clarkson added: “It’s like Brexit. I don’t know the answer to that either.”
Fans now know season four has been commissioned but it will look a little bit different.
Amazon announced the news in a statement on Twitter, saying: “We’re excited to announce that we have renewed The Grand Tour for season four, and proud that Prime Video will continue to be the home for Jeremy, Richard and James for years to come.
“Season four will see the guys ditch the tent to take on big adventure road trips that we know Prime members love.”
Jeremy confirmed the news to his 7.12 million Twitter followers.
He added: “Can we just be clear on this. The Grand Tour goes on.
“Amazon has commissioned another series of nothing but road trip specials.”
With the first episode of season three just days away, a recent trailer showed the trio sitting in a dreary cafe.
Jeremy can be seen typing a tweet saying: “A big boring.”
The trailer then confirmed the show’s release date before adding a series of hilarious tweets.
One joked: “That’s 32,400 minutes to go (exclusive of sleep).”
The Grand Tour season 3 will air on Amazon Prime on January 18th.
