Joe had just won £8,000 and was given a higher offer of £43,000 and a lower offer of minus £1,000 by chaser Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan.
As he pondered which option to select, Bradley suggested he consult with teammate Karen for some advice.
“Karen what do you say?” the host asked the contestant.
Karen shocked both Bradley and Joe as she explained: “Joe I need you back here. So, I know you’re a better player but take the lower offer.”
“No!” Bradley exclaimed. “No, he’s a better player than that.”
Karen tried to defend her advice, continuing: “I know but I need him back here.”
Joe chose to ignore his teammate’s instructions and instead played for the £8,000 he had earned in the previous round.
The awkward clash between Karen and Bradley came after the pair were left speechless when they learned that a one cent coin costs 1.8 cents to produce.
After learning how much Americans spend on the coin, the 57-year-old raged: “Can you believe that? How do you produce coins that cost more to produce than they are actually worth?
“That doesn’t make sense. What’s the matter with them? Pull yourselves together.”
