The moment unfolded as Bradley Walsh explained to a contestant on The Chase why he agreed with the answer she had picked.
As the camera cut to Anne she could be seen suppressing a laugh in the Chaser’s seat on the ITV quiz.
Bradley, 57, spotted her trying to stifle a giggle and swiftly called her out on it.
He questioned: “Why’s Anne laughing? Pull yourself together woman, what are you doing?”
“Stop laughing at your own jokes, stop making your own jokes up there, it’s unnecessary.
“I’m trying to run a show here and all your doing is laughing your head off.
“I’m trying to make myself sound intelligent, stop pooh-poohing everything.”
However, Anne remained silent as she pursed her lips together stifling a laugh.
After the contestant got through on the question, Bradley turned round once again to confront his colleague.
He said: “You were laughing your head off at me and I was right in the end, by the way.”
Anne asserted: “I wasn’t laughing at you.”
Bradley then exclaimed: “You were laughing at me! Well you weren’t laughing with me!
“You were making me look foolish in front of my millions of friends.”
“Well, yes I was doing that but you do it to yourself to be fair,” Anne replied.
Bradley then turned to the camera and declared: “That’s not fair.”
However, it was clear it was all in jest as the pair laughed at the moment.
Meanwhile, all four contestants managed to make it through to the Final Chase on today’s show.
Playing for £19,000, they managed to get 17 points to get ahead of the Governess.
In what was a very tense last round with four successfully executed pushback, the team were caught with just one second remaining.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
