The Chase: Bradley Walsh GOBSMACKED over player's shock purchase ‘You’re winding me up!'

The Chase contestants had a tough competition this evening, as chaser Paul Sinha answered most of his questions correctly.

Although three players successfully made it through to the Final Chase, the group only accumulated £8,000.

Paul commented: “This is what I didn’t want, I need to step it up now.”

However it was revealed that prize money was the perfect amount for one of the contestant’s purchase dreams.

Johnny, 32, announced that he would like to purchase a new fishing rod with his winnings.

He said: “All my friends have got bigger rods than me.”

Bradley Walsh laughed and replied: “You bet its all about the rods lads.

“I can see you sitting on the bank with your rods out with rod envy.

“Saying: ‘Look the size of his rod.’”

Although Bradley found it funny, he was shocked when he found out that Johnny was looking for a specific rod in particular.

Johnny revealed: “I’m hoping for a gold plated rod called Excalibur.”

Mouth open, Bradley chuckled: “You’re winding me up, right?”

But after much reassurance, Johnny confirmed that the gold Excalibur rod exists.

“Honestly,” Johnny continued. “It’s called Excalibur 3000.”

Still unconvinced, Bradley continued the show shouting: “You’re winding me up! Come on let’s get you a rod.”

Last week viewers saw Bradley snap at chaser Anne Hegerty.

As Anne was giggling to herself, Bradley commented: “Why’s Anne laughing? Pull yourself together woman, what are you doing?

“Stop laughing at your own jokes, stop making your own jokes up there, it’s unnecessary.”

Anne remained silent in the ordeal as she attempted to pull herself together.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
