The Archers' abused wife Helen Titchener to appear in Coronation Street

The Archers actress will make her debut in the ITV soap this month as Moira, an office manager at Weatherfield Medical Centre.

She clashes with Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) when she lands a job as a receptionist at the surgery.

Patikas has played the long-suffering Helen Titchener in Radio 4 drama The Archers for more than 15 years.

Last year the character was at the centre of a high-profile domestic abuse storyline when her husband Rob raped her and verbally and physically abused her.
