Following his stint in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Iain’s career has gone from strength-to-strength.
He now fills in for Richard Arnold on the Good Morning Britain entertainment desk and today discussed the tragic death of Jim Bowen.
The Bullseye host passed away yesterday aged 80 after his wife, Phyllis, confirmed the news.
Iain, 44, read out several tributes to the late comedian – but found himself stalling at one of them.
The radio DJ said: “Paddy McGuinness tweeted, and Jim Davidson tweeted – but I’m not interested in him.”
Susanna Reid, 47, seemed stunned and asked: “Why not? He’s one of those comedy legends?”
While Kate, 50, insisted it was a “bracing” atmosphere, Iain muttered: “Let’s not.
“Let’s have this debate elsewhere.”
As the segment came to an end, Susanna tried to lighten the mood and giggled: “Your reports always come with an edge.”
Iain joked back: “And that’s why my TV career ended before.”
Just last week, the I’m A Celebrity finalist stormed off The Wright Stuff after a blazing row.
Matthew Wright, 52, grilled Iain about his marriage following his confession on TalkRadio that it was in trouble.
Iain snapped at the host, saying he shouldn’t be talking about his “private life”.
Matthew retorted: “Can it be private if you talked about it on your radio show?”
Iain added: “I’m so close to telling you to F off and walking off this show right now.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
