Sarandon was outspoken about her dislike of Hilary Clinton in the latest US election, and said in Guardian interview published in November 2017: “I did think she was very, very dangerous. We would still be fracking, we would be at war [if she was president].”
Tonight she will appear on The One Show on BBC One to promote her documentary Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story.
The documentary explores the live of the actress who was also a scientist and inventor whose inventions paved the way for wi-fi in the modern age.
She was also a pioneer onscreen, and was the first woman to depict the female orgasm in film.
The Hollywood actor was on This Morning earlier today to talk about her new film about Hedy Lamarr but Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were more interested in finding out if she brought a gift for them.
As they concluded the interview, Phillip asked: “What present have you got for us?”
“What?” Susan replied, looking slightly confused. “Me?”
Laughing, the 55-year-old explained: “Well I read that you were a fantastic present giver.”
