“Simon’s had a bit of a problem with the knitting community. He fell out with them on this show,” explained Tim.

As the discussion went on, Tim asked for viewers to send in their own creations, to which he got a flurry of responses.

“Simon here hates knitters… we just saw these pictures and he got really angry,” joked Tim.

Simon told his co-host: “I’m going to get hammered so much on social media, this is your fault!”

Sunday Brunch airs every Sunday from 9:30am on Channel 4.
