Sunday Brunch: ‘I’m blushing’ Tim Lovejoy forced to apologise for epic blunder

Sunday Brunch was hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer this morning and they were joined by a variety of celebrity guests.

However, following a short ad break, Tim was forced to apologise to one of his guests for incorrectly pronouncing their name.

“Welcome back to Sunday Brunch live, we’re cooking with Katherine Jenkins,” Tim began.

“Before we do that, we’ve got to apologise to Jane, who’s name isn’t Jane, it’s Jain.

“Have I said that correct?” He asked and the camera panned to the table where singer/songwriter Jain was sitting.

“Erm,” She replied. “In French it is Jain,” she corrected.

Tim, alongside the other guests then started practicing the correct pronunciation before Tim explained how embarrassed he was.

“My fault, I don’t really like speaking French in public,” he joked.

“Go on have a go!” Comedian Joe Lycett encouraged. “Bonjour…”

“No I don’t really like it Joe. I don’t like doing that. I’m blushing now,” Tim replied.

Those watching at home took to Twitter to discuss the moment.

One said: “Her name is no Jane FFS #SundayBrunch.”(sic)

“Do your research @timlovejoy how embarrassing #SundayBrunch,” another Tweet read.

A third commented: “French girl looks in dismay at what is happening… #SundayBrunch.”
