Wielding a neon blade and a swift dodge, you drop into fast-paced melee and a detailed pixel-art landscape in the free hack-n-slash Aube.

As you explore this ruined techno-wasteland, Aube reveals its narrative through patient fights and detailed pixel environments, reminsicent of Hyper Light Drifter. You embark on a short Zelda-inspired adventure, set in a world where ancient energy and a race of metallic beings once gripped the land.

Most interestingly is the fencing-influenced combat, where your attacks are complemented by feints and blocks; battles against foes are ones of cautious circling until you can close the gap with a dash and deliver the killing blows.

Aube is available as a free download on Itch.io and requires a gamepad to play.
