Strictly Come Dancing star Ruth Langford's night 'RUINED' by shake-up: 'I'm so annoyed'

The This Morning presenter, 57, and her husband and co-host Eamonn Holmes, also 57, were joined by Coronation Street actress Debbie Rush, 50, on the show today to discuss the big storylines coming up with her character Anna Windass.

With evil Pat Phelan (played by Connor McIntyre) framing her for pushing Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) off a ladder, there’s plenty of drama ahead for Anna.

However, Ruth Langsford was less than impressed amid all the talk of Corrie, however, when Eamonn announced: “There’s no Corrie tonight because of the football.”

“I’m so annoyed,” Ruth exclaimed. “Double episode, my Friday night joy ruined.”

“Ruined with the football,” Debbie agreed.

The usual double bill of the soap has been cancelled tonight in order to make room for live coverage of the England versus Germany friendly.

“We have to wait till next to find out where this story goes,” Ruth lamented, adding: “We wish you well with everything that you’re doing afterwards.

“And we will watch with great interest at how this plays out in your final weeks and months,” she added.

Luckily, Ruth has a good distraction from the absence of Corrie as she prepares to take to the Strictly Come Dancing stage once again tomorrow night.

Along with her professional partner Anton du Beke, 51, she is set to perform a Foxtrot for the judges in a bid to make it through to Blackpool the following weekend.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV, whilst Coronation Street continues Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
