Strictly Come Dancing will be returning to screens this Autumn with a new line-up of celebrities competing for the infamous Glitterball Trophy.
Whilst rumours circulate as to who will be taking part in this year’s series, host Tess Daly, 49, who has fronted Strictly Come Dancing since it began in 2004, has revealed when the line-up will be announced to the public.
Taking to Instagram, Tess shared a photo of herself and co-host Claudia Winkleman, 46, hugging one another and smiling, to her 353,000 followers.
The caption read: “Got to snuggle up to this one today @amiclaudiawinkleman So excited for our first day back to work @bbstrictly PLUS we found out the new celeb cast for STRICTLY 2018! Can’t wait to share it with you…! #strictly.”
One Strictly fan named @Iwilks91 then commented on her post and asked her: “When will we know?”
Tess replied directly saying: “@Iwilks91 the names start being released on August 13th.”
If the date Tess has said is true, fans can expect to know who will be competing for the Glitterball Trophy on Monday.
Many other fans replied to her post explaining their excitement for the new series and one wrote: “Can’t wait so excited ooooo yes bring on September.”
Another added: “Can’t wait for the reveal xx,” and a third commented: “I cannot WAIT!!!!! The best programme on telly!!!!”
Tess and Claudia have been presenting the show as a duo since 2014, when she took over from Sir Bruce Forsyth.
Claudia first took part in Strictly Come Dancing as a host of their sister show It Takes Two and handed over the reins to Zoe Ball in 2010.
It comes after Radio Times revealed earlier this week that all 15 contestants have officially signed up to follow in last year’s winner Joe McFadden’s footsteps and become a Strictly champion.
One of the biggest names rumoured to be taking part is Coleen Rooney. Another strong contender is TV presenter Maya Jama who has recently secured a DJ slot on BBC Radio 1.
Strictly viewers could also see Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain swap the kitchen for the dance floor, after she has showed her interest for the show after appearing in the live audience several times last year.
Other stars who have sparked rumours from watching the show includes BBC Breakfast host Steph McGovern and even Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter Richard Hammond.
Meanwhile, several soap stars have also been reported to have “signed up”, with previous The X Factor winner Shayne Ward a top contender.
Following his exit from Coronation Street in May, it has been suggested he could soon be standing in front of the judges and he could also be joined by ex-Corrie actor Les Dennis.
Bookmakers Betway have Steph McGovern and Coleen Rooney as their top two stars to compete, whilst Nadiya’s odds of appearing are slated at 5/2.
Elsewhere, Ladbrokes’ have Les Dennis’s odds appearing at 7/4.
BBC has been contacted for a commented to confirm the date of celebrity lineup announcement.
