Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Fans in UPROAR over Anton du Beke twist in massive show first

Tonight’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing saw Susannah Constantine and Anton du Beke voted off the BBC reality competition.

The unfortunate turn of events was upsetting for both What not to Wear personality Susannah, 56, and Anton, 52.

The pair shared commiserations when they were given the news from the judging panel, which consists of Dame Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel-Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and head judge Shirley Ballas.

Yet viewers were bothered for a very different reason, claiming it was time the show stopped giving Anton the “weakest” dancers.

What’s more, many were shocked tonight’s results show was the first time professional dancer and Strictly legend Anton had been voted out in the first elimination.

Taking to Twitter, viewers started calling for a petition to put Anton with one of the stronger dancers in next year’s competition.

One person wrote: “It’s about time you gave @TheAntonDuBeke a decent partner. It’s not fair you always pairing him with someone who clearly isn’t going to win. I would like to see him get to the final for a change #Strictly.”

“It would be nice if Anton was actually given a chance to do well in #Strictly but I don’t see that happening tbh,” another shared.

A third agreed: “Aww poor Anton got shafted again. #Strictly.”

While a fourth noted: “I feel sorry for Anton #Strictly.”

Not everyone felt the same, as plenty were gutted for the loss of the couple.

“I would have liked to see Susannah stay even for a few more weeks to see how much she could improve #Strictly remember Pamela Stephenson? So entertaining to watch someone drastically improve,” one viewer said.
