The 46-year-old presenter hosts the programme nightly, but has been forced to pull out after contracting an illness.
Reports emerged saying that Zoe has been suffering from a “nasty stomach bug”.
It has been announced that former Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones will fill in on the BBC Two programme.
The 39-year-old stand-in will also replace the host in Thursday’s pre-recorded show ahead of the Strictly stars’ journey to Blackpool.
A spokesperson confirmed Zoe’s illness, adding: “She is at home resting and hoping to feel better for Blackpool weekend.
“She is thankful to Gethin for stepping in last minute,” they said.
What’s more, the BBC extended their well-wishes, adding: “Get well soon, Zoe.”
Tonight’s It Takes Two will feature Alexandra Burke, Davood Ghadami and Mollie King, along with their professional partners.
Gethin is no stranger to the spin-off, having been a roaming reporter on it since last year and even took part in the 2016 Christmas special of Strictly.
Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two airs tonight on BBC Two at 6.30pm.
