Strictly Come Dancing 2017: There's a new favourite and you WON'T believe who it is…

He has slowly been climbing up the leader board, and now bookies have announced that Joe McFadden could be about to win the entire BBC competition.

The Holby City star, 41, is now priced at 9/4, according to Ladbrooks and has even overtaken previous favourite, Debbie McGee, who is sitting at 5/2.

X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke, comes in at 7/2 and is hotly followed by Gemma Atkinson at 6/1.

It’s not good news for Davood Ghadami and Mollie King who are priced at 7/1 and 18/1 respectively.

Speaking of Joe’s rise, Alex Apati from the bookies said: “Sudden interest in Joe has seen the odds at the head of the market change in a heartbeat, and it looks as though the Scot ay have peaked at just the right time.

This follows Saturday’s show which saw Joe and professional partner Katya Jones top the leader board after performing well in his Quickstep and the exciting Paso Doble-thon.

Bagging an incredibly impressive 44, the actor topped over Debbie and Giovanni Pernice’s Argentine Tango which gained 43 points.

Last week’s show didn’t go as well for Susan Calman, who was sadly eliminated from the competition.

As she said goodbye with her professional partner Kevin Clifton, the latter dropped several hints that he could be leaving the talent show for good.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 7.05pm.
