Strictly Come Dancing 2017: Shirley Ballas slaps Giovanni Pernice's BUM in impromptu move

The new head judge set about explaining how the BBC stars should be performing a Jive and asked along Debbie McGee‘s current dance partner to help her out.

The pair impressed as they took to the small stage to show off their fancy footwork.

But it was one moment in particular where Shirley, 57, slapped Giovanni, 27, on the bum that left the audience screaming.

It was all taken in good humour though, as the hunky professional joked that he would love to do that particular dance all over again.

Viewers at home seemed to be in hysterics over her bold move and flocked to Twitter to air their thoughts.

One wrote: “@ShirleyBallas Just caught up with #ItTakesTwo and saw that cheeky bum grab! #YouStillGotIt.”

Another laughed: “@ShirleyBallas touched Giovanni’s bum!  Brilliant dance demo again, still fabulous!”

A third added: “@ShirleyBallas just patted @pernicegiovann1 bum during that jive #ItTakesTwo.”

This came as the Strictly newcomer confessed that she would love the chance to dance with her son, Mark Ballas.

The 31-year-old is a dancer and choreographer on America’s Dancing with the Stars.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on BBC One at 6.35pm.
