The 31-year-old won the coveted Glitterball trophy with professional partner Joanna Clifton but the feeling of immense pressure during the live rounds hasn’t left him.
The BBC presenter – who will be hosting the Strictly live tour next year – confessed he is extremely animated when he watches the competition and his “heart beats unhealthily fast”.
Speaking about watching the programme in an interview with Radio Times, he said: “I’m living every single moment. I barely sat down last weekend while it was on.
“If there’s a slight mistake, my heart sinks and beats unhealthily fast. Even before the titles run, I can feel what the dancers are feeling.
“What would be funny is if someone filmed me, Gogglebox-style, watching Strictly. It’s like a one-man-band of weird.”
However, Ore confessed he’s not too eager about competing on the show again although he does miss the “buzz” of performing.
He added: “I’m not pining to be doing it again, but if there’s something I miss it’s the camaraderie and the backstage atmosphere. There’s nothing like that buzz.”
Last weekend, Ruth Langsford and partner Anton du Beke were voted out of the competition after failing to impress the judges during a dance off with Jonnie Peacock and Strictly professional Oti Mabuse.
The remaining eight couples will be giving it their all at Blackpool this weekend as the show heads to the home of ballroom.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
