The blonde beauty gave the judge a taste of his own medicine on the BBC extravaganza as she critiqued his role as Miss Hannigan.
The judge looked unrecognisable as he transformed into the villain from West End musical Annie to give a special performance.
At the end of his routine, Tess decided to get her own back on her co-star as she scored him out of 10 using a Pudsey Bear paddle.
The 48-year-old generously awarded Craig with a 10 before commenting: “What a performance, thank you so much.
“I was expecting something fabulous and you did not disappoint.”
However, she then jokingly took a swipe at his notoriously mean marking on Strictly Come Dancing as she quipped: “Yeah, it’s a ten from me – feels good holding up a ten. I think Craig should try it more often. Do you?”
It came after Mel Geidroyc appeared to hit out at Strictly’s head judge Shirley Ballas following a segment including Aston Merrygold.
Fans of the BBC series were stunned when the former JLS star was eliminated from the competition two weeks ago and the presenter couldn’t help but make a joke about his departure.
Following the singer’s appearance on Children in Need, Mel laughed: “It was nice to see Aston Merrygold again… Thanks Shirley.”
Unsurprisingly, those tuning into the show picked up on the cheeky swipe and rushed to Twitter to comment on Mel’s remark.
“Haha Mel got a dig in at Shirley,” one viewer shared, while another added: “Haha did Mel really throw a dig at Shirley over Aston? Haha.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight on BBC One at 6.45pm.
