Strictly Come Dancing 2017 Final: Tess Daly red-faced as she's caught in awkward blunder

The host, 48, looked stunned when the camera panned to her and was seen waving her finger at someone out of shot. 

Co-host Claudia Winkleman, 45, had been chatting to Alexandra Burke, 29, about her performance before handing presenting duties back to Tess. 

But the blonde beauty was clearly not prepared to take the reins as she was seen angrily waving to an unknown person. 

She quickly realised her mistake and flashed a huge smile at the camera before introducing the next couple to dance. 

“Next with their very last chance to impress you tonight and win the trophy it’s Debbie [McGee] and Giovanni [Pernice].”

But that wasn’t the only time that Tess was left cringing as she was left looking awkward after a Dirty Dancing skit with Claudia. 

The brunette beauty attempted to jump into her arms as The Time of My Life played but instead completely missed and crashed onto the floor. 

Fortunately, Claudia landed on a crash mat, which had been strategically placed to break her fall but Tess still looked slightly shocked by the gaffe.

Last night, former Holby City star Joe McFadden beat off competition from Debbie McGee, Alexandra Burke and Gemma Atkinson to be crowned this year’s winner.
