Last week’s shock results show saw Debbie McGee, 59, and her partner Giovanni Pernice, 27, found themselves in the bottom two after a questionable Spice Girls inspired Samba.
After battling an agonising back injury this week, Debbie came back fighting earning a massive 38 points for her Argentine tango.
However, during tonight’s show, Debbie told Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman, 45, she’s been feeling “unpopular”.
“When we were standing there tonight, I thought, ‘We weren’t very popular last week so we could be in the dance off again’,” she explained.
“To be here for the quarter-final, and Giovanni’s worked so hard with me and we’ve had a really tough week this week.
“I can’t tell you, it’s such a thrill and to be with all these guys who have all got through, it’s wonderful.”
In turn, viewers comforted the former magician’s assistant on Twitter, with one posting: “I feel so bad for Debbie thinking she isn’t popular. We all love you Debs!!!! #Strictly.”
“Huge well done @thedebbiemcgee and @pernicegiovann1, quarter finalists! And you’re popular with us Debbie, you were incredible this week,” agreed another which was followed by: “Ooh Debbie says she’s had such a tough week?!”
Sadly, Susan Calman, 43, became the ninth celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing after a dance-off with Alexandra Burke, 29.
Even Susan confessed: “I’ve never seen a more uneven contest in my life.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One.
