The 59-year-old has been constantly topping the leaderboard and impressing viewers at home with her incredible performances alongside professional partner Giovanni Pernice.
However, the challenging dances and tough rehearsals have taken its toll on Debbie as she’s been suffering from back pain.
On Saturday night’s show, Paul Daniels widow admitted she has been recovering from a pulled muscle and has been taking training easy.
But the injury doesn’t appear to be healing quickly as Debbie’s sister revealed she has been strapping hot water bottlers to her back to ease the pain.
Debbie’s sibling, Donna, told The Mirror: “She’s twisted a muscle so she’s struggling.
“It’s a real shame. She has been suffering – she had a hot water bottle on her back all week. It’s really been playing up.”
Last weekend, the former magician’s assistant ignored her injury and wowed the audience with her riveting salsa.
Donna added: “She’d been suffering, it could have gone either way. You don’t know if the back was going to go – but she doesn’t let it worry her.”
When the BBC One show returns to the home of ballroom in Blackpool this weekend, Debbie and Giovanni, 27, will be tearing up the dance floor performing a samba.
The pair are dancing to a Spice Girls medley, which will include hit songs Wannabe and Who Do You Think You Are?
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
