Strictly Come Dancing 2017: Dame Joan Collins slams show in SHOCK comment

Appearing on today’s edition of ITV’s Lorraine, the 84-year-old was asked if she would ever take part in the BBC series.

However, it looked like Dame Joan had ruled it out completely as she told presenter Lorraine Kelly: “No, no, no. I think there’s a limit. I think no one over the age of 45 should do anything like that.

“They really shouldn’t because I have two friends who’ve done it. One of them is George Hamilton, he did the American one, he is still limping after Dancing With The Stars.

“He was 55 or something when he did it. He said, ‘Don’t do it. It’s ridiculous.’ It’s not just the dancing, it’s the acrobatics.”

Despite confirming that Strictly Come Dancing was not on her list, she hailed the programme, saying: “But I love the show. It’s a great show.”

Her words come as this year’s crop of celebrities gear up for the first live show next week when the couples will be making their debut on the show.

The footage saw Charlotte whirling around the training room in ballroom hold with Brendan, who was wearing a cardboard box on his head.

“This is working a treat,” she exclaimed, adding: “Much better!”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One tomorrow on September 23.
