The presenter failed to impress the judges with her Cha Cha and it seems her co-host Piers Morgan also found it lacklustre as he promised to give his own critique on Monday’s edition of the ITV show.
When one viewer took to Twitter to speculate that the 52-year-old would “humiliate” Charlotte on the show, she tweeted back: “Shhh – maybe he didn’t notice…”
However Piers didn’t waste much time in warning the blonde beauty that he wouldn’t hold back when they come face-to-face.
“Oh, I noticed… see you tomorrow,” he replied, followed by two laughing emojis.
Clearly not wanting to hear his comments, Charlotte asked her 139,000 followers: “Anyone fancy reading the news tomorrow on @GMB? I’m suddenly feeling a bit queasy…”
Taking the opportunity to embarrass the star once more, Piers continued: “Relax, we’ll just have a nice positive cha-cha-chat about it.”
It comes after Charlotte was overcome with emotion following her performance on Saturday night and was criticised by Darcey Bussell who said she felt sorry for the newsreader.
Delivering her thoughts on the 42-year-old’s Cha Cha, she noted that “flirting on live television is not an easy thing,” suggesting she wasn’t a fan of her chemistry on the dance floor with professional partner Brendan Cole.
Bruno Tonioli echoed her thoughts commenting that Brendan was “dragging her around from pillar to post”.
As she reflected on her performance with presenter Claudia Winklman, she said she thought she had her difficult spin in the bag but after receiving a low 12 points, she wondered is she should “just leave now”.
Fans will have to wait and see if Charlotte impressed viewers at home in tonight’s show and if she avoids Piers’ critique tomorrow morning.
Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight on BBC One at 7.15pm.
