Ruth Langsford, 57, spoke out about the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing and said that she was left cringing after she “launched herself” at Anton, 51.
The This Morning presenter explained: “I really wanted Anton. I’m so embarrassed I jumped on the poor man. I had no intention of jumping on him, it was not in my mind and suddenly I launched myself at him. I looked like a baby elephant.”
She then went on to say that Anton “did a little message to Eamonn and said ‘she’s mine now’.”
Ruth has openly discussed the fact that she wants to make her other half jealous on the BBC dancing show, with her admitting that “she’s going to rub herself up against everyone who walks past her”.
Her latest comments come after she revealed that the BBC were misinformed about her part in the dancing competition after she signed up this year.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she shared: “I quite enjoyed the whole rumour mill and contrary to popular belief, I’ve not been asked to do Strictly before because never in a million years would I have turned it down.”
Ruth continued: “When it leaked, the BBC said, ‘At last she said yes to Strictly,’ but they never asked!
“I was gutted that I’d never been asked for Strictly so there was no way I was going to pass it by.”
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV, while Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One on Saturday, September 23.
