Steven Seagal BLASTS enemies of ‘friend’ Vladimir Putin and says he did not FIX Trump win

The 65-year-old actor and martial arts expert blasted claims that Putin skewed the results of the 2016 US election in the favour of businessman-turned-politician Donald Trump.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain via satellite link from St. Petersburg, Russia, he told hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: “Why don’t we be really honest, Piers? Every country is involved in espionage, Russia spies, America spies, Britain spies.

“But for anyone to think Vladimir Putin had anything to do with fixing the elections or even the Russians have that kind of technology is stupid.

“We have a situation here, really all of this is from astronomical propaganda and this kind of propaganda is really a diversion – creating a diversion so that the people in the USA won’t really see what’s really happening.”

“I think most of the people in the US and most of the people in Russia want to like each other. We need each other. Russia and America should be great allies.”

Seagal also spoke about “leftover Obamaites”, who he said were “holding hostage” the US by blocking President Trump in congress and preventing him from passing legislation.

He explained: “I think we have a really unfortunate situation in that sense that even thought he was democratically elected, there are a lot of people who don’t think that is the case. We have a tonne of enemies within.

“We have Democrats within – and not just Democrats – who have this other agenda. There are these left over Obamaites. People who think we should overthrow Trump.

“Any decision that he makes, he gets blocked so often by the enemies within. It’s very difficult for him to do anything.”
