Fans have been in a frenzy of theories since Operation Blue Milk was announced.
An official statement today revealed that the new book will give a new voice to an array of characters, some of whom we have already seen in the background of the classic movie.
It said: “Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View, coming October 2017, will bring together more than 40 authors for 40 stories.”
The new book will be released in October but the publishers have already revealed two of the stories.
The statement continued: “Each story will be told from the perspective of background characters of A New Hope — from X-wing pilots who helped Luke destroy the Death Star to the stormtroopers who never quite could find the droids they were looking for.”
The publishers also reminded fans that it’s about time we found out more about the colourful creatures we saw in the iconic scene in the Mos Eisley cantina – or how about those pesky scavengers on Tatooine?
Some of the authors have been announced already and include well-known Star Wars regulars who have penned some of the most popular Canon and Legends books.

Confirmed authors include Paul Kemp, Christie Golden, Chuck Wendig and John Jackson Miller.
The book will be released in aid of the First Book charity which provides book s and learning materials to educators and carers of children in need.
All the authors have donated their stories for free and the publishers, Penguin Random House, has donated $ 100,000 to First Book while Disney/Lucasfilm has donated 100,000 children’s books.
Fans had already started suggesting the characters they want to know more about, even beforeteh official announcement.
Luke’s aunt and uncle, Owen and Beru Lars, are a popular choice. Another fan was desperately hoping for Qui-Gon Jinn before the announcement revealed that it would only be characters from Episode IV.
There have also been some amusing suggestions that the book might be the first Star Wars cookery book.
