Star Wars Battlefront 2 2017 is going to smash original PS4 and Xbox One title in scope

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to be released later this year and is already being teased by EA.

While fans wait to find out more on the gameplay front, we already know some key details on the new title.

First of all, DICE are going to great lengths to confirm that there will be a single player campaign.

That was one of the biggest gripes fans had with Battlefront on PS4, Xbox One and PC and it appears EA are looking to remedy the issues straight away.

And now another hint has been released by EA, revealing that Star Wars Battlefront 2 2017 will also have a much wider scope.

Speaking during the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference today, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed Battlefront 2 would be dramatically larger and include a lot of new characters.

These characters will be pulled from the most recent movies in the Star Wars franchise, meaning fans can expect some major Rogue One love.

“The Star Wars universe is just unbelievable to build games in because it’s so vast,” Jorgensen commented.

These new comments look to be EA trying to dispel any lingering issues fans may have had with the 2015 remake by confirming a much bigger game with more content is  in the works.

A new Star Wars Battlefront 2 2017 trailer is expected to make its debut in the near future.

Senior Video & Media Director/Editor at DICE, Randy Evans has teased as much, confirming on Twitter recently that he is working on a big new project.

“Today we are off to do some mocap for a very big upcoming trailer. Luke Matthews seen here pondering the ways of the force,” he wrote.

If there was any need for further speculation over what the new project might be about, it appears Evans has offered enough information to point us in the right direction.

For those wondering when that new trailer may arrive, it’s a safe bet that the Star Wars celebrations in April will be the event.

While it’s certain that Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be the main focus, EA are likely to follow up their success in 2013 by debuting their new trailer in the same way.

It was the event that saw the first Star Wars Battlefront remake trailer make its debut, and what with EA working closely with Disney to synchronise games with movie releases, we’re hoping to see another epic clip from the new title.
