Star Wars 9 leaks: Scene shows THESE characters united in Millennium Falcon amid climax

The movie – still officially untitled – is released this December, and new details are finally expected to emerge at Star Wars Celebration next week. But ahead of that, a blink-and-you-miss-it sneak peek was seemingly shown to attendees of CinemaCon. And the good news is that many of our favourites will be back in one place again, after being splintered for much of The Last Jedi.

Journalist and podcaster Scott Wampler revealed that viewers were shown a scene in which Chewbacca, Rey, Poe and Finn are all in the Millennium Falcon.

That’s literally all the detail that was shown – no plot hints, no dialogue, no indication of where the characters are going.

But given how Rey and Finn were separated for almost all of The Last Jedi – and even Finn and Poe were apart for much of it – it’s an encouraging morsel for anyone hopeful that they’ll be reunited for Episode IX.

Meanwhile, the latest rumoured title of Star Wars 9 appears to have been shot down across the board.

Colbert laughed: “You almost told me! And then you caught yourself before you said anything!”

Russell did later reveal: “I do have the coolest costume, I will say that.”

Filming for the saga finale wrapped in February, as confirmed on social media by writer-director JJ Abrams.

Star Wars 9 is out on December 19.
