Geri talks about building a family and her career as a singer

Not a lot of people know this but I’m very good at…reverse parking.

Also, I can talk to anyone about anything and am really good at chess and UNO.

Maybe I’m not that good at chess but I like it.

My best friend is… my husband.

My nickname is… Ginger.

The bravest things are normally the most beautiful

The bravest thing I’ve ever done is…

It’s a tough choice between getting married and having my babies. They’re both very scary things to do.

The bravest things are normally the most beautiful. When I do something that’s out of my comfort zone, I come out of it feeling fantastic. I’m afraid all the time but I say a prayer and become brave. It doesn’t mean I’m not scared, though.

My favourite TV show is…Last year, it swung from The Crown to Love Island.

At the moment, I’ve been enjoying Blue Planet II.

My perfect evening is… doing absolutely nothing.

I love to snuggle down with the people I love.

I’d like to say sorry to… my younger self.

I was a bit hard on myself back then.

My first kiss was… with a boy called Christopher Cummings. It was at a party and he asked if he could “get off” with me.

I didn’t even know what that meant.

Oh my God, it was hideous. I had to wipe my mouth afterwards. I thought, “What the hell was that?” How embarrassing.

The one thing I’d change about myself is… I’d like to stop overthinking. Also, my husband tells me that when I have a point to make,

I overlabour the point and hammer it home.

The best thing my parents taught me was… My father died when I was young.

He used to write me letters. He was a well-read man. He taught me about politics and the arts.

I asked him about relationships. One of the last letters he wrote to me said, “Don’t worry, the path of true love never did run straight.”

I think that’s right. Like the fairy tales, we have to slay our own dragons, whether they’re personal or not.

Geri learned from her father that love does not come easy

The last time I cried was… watching Paddington 2. It’s an amazing film and I loved it. I felt a bit teary when Paddington went to jail. He was all alone. T

here’s plenty of laughs to be had in there as well, though.

The first record I ever bought was… probably Do They Know It’s Christmas? by Band Aid.

It’s not good for my image but I like… I bought this woolly hat. I look like a really big nerd when I wear it.

I love being comfortable and warm. I put it on and my husband told me I should never be seen wearing it.

My greatest weakness is… cake.

A while back, I did some cooking with Gordon Ramsay. He taught me how to make a soufflé.

It was a Christmas soufflé with mincemeat and raisins inside. The flavour of it was absolutely amazing. I ate two of them in a row.

They were that good. They are the most delicious things to have passed my lips.

If I could pass any law, I would… I’d have

to pass two. Number one, be kind to one another. Number two, say thank you to drivers who stop for you at the zebra crossing. Manners cost nothing.

I drive… an Aston Martin. It’s beautiful.

It sounds like a purring tiger.

The shop I can’t walk past is… a French shop called Sandro.

I like Gap Kids, too. It’s fantastic and kids grow so fast. I also like Poundland.

I feel like I get a retail hit buying lots of things. I like to mix it up a bit and buy something fancy from a designer shop as well.

The most expensive thing I’ve ever splashed out on is… I bought Ringo Starr’s Mini.

It was quite a lot of money for a Mini but it belonged to a Beatle, so it’s a collector’s item.

It’s a piece of history and it had his drum kit in the back.

Who would play you in a film? Emma Stone.

She exudes courage and kindness.

She has pushed through her fears.

What is the worst job you’ve done? I used to be a cleaner.

I remember cleaning a boys’ house. They shared the rooms and it was just so stinky.

My perfect Sunday is… baking and spending time with the dog and my family.

My favourite place in Britain is… Devon and Cornwall. The landscapes look like they’re out of a storybook.

It looks like New Zealand where they filmed The Lord Of The Rings movies.

My last holiday was… in the South of France with my family.

I’m currently reading… I have just finished a novel called Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman.

It was so good that I couldn’t put it down. It’s beautifully written. Gail is an extraordinary writer. The book is like an extension of Bridget Jones – like she’s writing it first hand.

The best day of my life was… my wedding day. We got married at Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire. I remember being so, so happy that day. I had so much joy in my heart.

If I had half an hour left on Earth I would… spend it with my husband and my children. I’d keep my mum and sister close, too.
