Sevilla vs Barcelona LIVE STREAM
Sevilla earned the right to take on the Spanish giants by default – the team that wins the Copa del Rey cup usually faces the La Liga winners, but last season Barcelona took home both titles.
As Sevilla were the team to play Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final, they earned the right to play the league champions again.
But the club will be hoping to avoid another 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Ernesto Valverde’s squad.
The recent Copa Del Ray final between the two clubs saw Luis Suarez score a double while Messi, Iniesta and Coutinho took home one goal each.
Ousmane Dembele was subject to a score of transfer rumours during the transfer window but remained at the Camp Nou.
Ahead of the Spanish Super Cup he insisted he was at staying at Barcelona and was looking forward to playing for the legendary trophy.
He said: “I’m staying at Barcelona and I’m ready to play the Spanish Super Cup.”
The Spanish Super Cup used to take place over two legs, however this year things we be played slightly differently.
The match will not be played in Spain at all, instead Morocco will host the clash.
The winner will be decided at Tangier’s Stade Ibn Batouta over one leg instead.
Luis Enrique, the current manager of Spain’s national team, will make an appearance at the game.
He will surely be rooting for his old side, Barcelona, to take home the Super Cup.
