The tongue-in-cheek jibe about the This Morning presenter’s “bare breasts” seemed to go unnoticed as Ant McPartlin asked Stephen to repeat his remark.
Tasked with a being mummified during Ant vs Dec, the pair had to answer a series of general knowledge questions while being wrapped up by a scary-looking machine.
Making the risqué remark about fellow ITV host Holly, Stephen, who was dressed as a pharaoh, asked: “The Ancient Egyptians would certainly not have regarded a bare breast as immodest.”
Pausing for a moment, the 39-year-old added: “Completely unrelated, name three shows Holly Willoughby presents.”
The naughty joke appeared to slip past the duo as 41-year-old Ant completely missed the reference to Holly.
Asking Stephen to repeat the question, Ant eventually answered This Morning, Play To The Whistle and Celebrity Juice.
Following a series of jibes about his height, 41-year-old Dec later threatened to “smash in” Stephen’s face.
Dec fumed: “I’m going to smash the pharaoh’s face in in a minute,” before adding: “I swear I’m going to smash your face in!”
It came after guest announcer Mrs Brown had to be stopped from saying an “f-word” after being warned not to swear following last week’s accidental swearing on the family show.
Viewers also blasted the ITV show for revealing their mystery villain during tonight’s episode, just two week’s into the series-long drama.
Saturday Night Takeaway continues next Saturday on ITV at 7pm.
