Saturday Night Takeaway: Dec INTERRUPTS Alexandra Burke performance – and she wasn't happy

For ’s End of the Show Show, the pair chose to perform a number of hits from Andrew’s best known musicals.

The first routine saw the Geordie Duo join a performance from School of Rock but it was the second, which had viewers laughing.

Dec dressed up as a fluffy cat while former star Alexandra Burke sang Memories from the musical Cats.

Just moments after she began her performance, Dec loudly interrupted her singing as he crashed through the set and fell over a metal bin lid.

He could be seen holding his paws up and mouthing “sorry” as Alexandra looked momentarily stunned.

Ever the professional, the X Factor winner continued to belt out the musical hit.

But Dec continued to irritate the singer as he rubbed up against her and crawled between her legs.

Alexandra could be seen wriggling away from the Saturday Night Takeaway host.

The official Twitter account for the ITV show shared a clip of Dec as a cat, captioning it: “Dec does make a pretty kitty, doesn’t he? #SaturdayNightKing.”

Viewers were sent into a frenzy over his costume and were quick to praise Alexandra for not breaking into a fit of laughter.

“So funny….. no idea how the stars keep going in the end of the show show with all that hilarity around them,” one fan wrote.

While another added: “Absolutely brilliant show loved end of the show show.”

A third continued: “This was hysterical!”

“That was a brilliant performance from the School of rock musical cast and Alexandra Burke…I’m surprised Alexandra didn’t bust out laughing during that performance #AntandDec #SaturdayNightTakeaway,” someone else shared.

It came after , which saw the pair surprise a father-of-one with tickets to Florida.
