Host Michel Roux Jr. was joined by Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph, 72, in the kitchen this morning.
The A-list guest, who competed on Strictly Come Dancing last year, wasn’t wholly taken with proceedings, however, after she was informed of the menu for Food Heaven and Food Hell.
As the BBC presenter announced the options for the regular feature, the actress couldn’t hide her disgust at the Food Hell concept he had whipped up using her least favourite ingredients and flavours.
When asked what her ideal dish would comprise of, Lesley gushed: “Ooh, smoked salmon. Smoked salmon, smoked salmon, smoked salmon.
“I have it every day actually,” she insisted, before reeling off cauliflower, courgette and ginger as more of her favourite foods.
Admitting that her idea of hell was blue cheese and anything with rich chocolate in other foods, Lesley looked a little apprehensive as Michel confirmed the recipes for Saturday Kitchen segment.
“If the viewers give you heaven I’ll serve three of your favourite things: salmon, courgette and ginger,” he explained, much to her delight.
“i’m going to smoke some salmon for you right here in the studio and serve it with some homemade blinis, little pancakes which I believe you also like, and serve it with a refreshing courgette and ginger salad on the side.
“But if Lesley gets hell,” he continued ominously. “It’s going to be a stinky blue cheese and rich chocolate number.
“Yes, I’m afraid I’m going to ruin two perfectly good pears for you by stuffing them with mouldy blue stilton cheese, roasting them and adding insult to injury and smothering them in dangerously rich dark chocolate sauce,” he said.
“Ugh,” Lesley exclaimed, before begging: “Can I leave now?!”
Luckily, she forced herself to hang around for the remainder of the broadcast, even with the potential threat of a blue cheese and chocolate roast pear dish.
The star previously wowed Strictly Come Dancing fans on the show last year when she made it through to week five with her professional partner Anton du Beke, 51.
Lesley managed to impress both the judges and viewers at home during her time on the series and is the oldest contestant to compete on the BBC show to date.
Saturday Kitchen continues next Saturday at 10am on BBC One.
