Saturday Kitchen: Furious viewers SLAM show amid shock shake-up 'Shambles!'

Brad, 22, may be loved by thousands of fans around the world, but social media users at home were left questioning whether or not he was a suitable choice for the hit BBC cooking show this morning.

Some were quick to ask whether or not bosses wanted a younger audience so had brought Brad onto the show, with others asking whether or not he was even old enough to drink, while commenting on his youthful appearance.

As host Glynn Purnell, 42, stumbled over his lines on a few occasions as well, one viewer, rather harshly, snapped: “This #SaturdayKitchen is shambles. Terrible presentation. Man/child guest. (Is he legal to drink?) This isn’t Radio 1 but BBC One. Stop.”

“So this is supposed to get more kids to watch? Never heard of the guest #SaturdayKitchen,” a second moaned.

A third wrote: “I don’t understand why this child is on #SaturdayKitchen. His target audience of nine-year-olds is not really in keeping with the show.”

“Is Brad old enough to drink wine? #SaturdayKitchen,” yet another social networker asked.

Today’s show also saw bosses decide to ditch the Omelette Challenge segment, in favour of an omelette masterclass with Michel Roux Snr.

Despite the weekly segment usually getting a mixed reaction from fans at home, they seemed to much prefer the way that it was done this week.

One person posted: “Michel Roux making the perfect omelette. He is the most delightful charming guest I’ve ever seen #SaturdayKitchen.”

“Watching @MichelRouxOBE make an omelette on @SaturdayKitchen is the best food porn I’ve ever seen. #michelroux #foodporn #SaturdayKitchen,” a second gushed.

Saturday Kitchen continues next Saturday at 10am on BBC One.
