Saturday Kitchen caller sparks frenzy with THIS question as BBC show descends into giggles

The BBC show descended into laughter thanks to a caller who phoned up for advice on a popular cooking method.

Hannah from Padstow asked: “Hi Matt [Tebbutt], I’ve heard all the top chefs are smoking joints these days…”

Host Matt immediately smirked and laughed along with Galton Blackiston and Phil Howard at what else the fan could be referring to, while guest Sara Cox sat with a shocked expression on her face.

“All the top chefs are smoking,” the 43-year-old exclaimed, before attempting to continue: “So smoking meat and fish, who wants to do that?”

Twitter was inundated with comments about the viewer’s seemingly innocent question, with one user joking that it should go straight into the caller hall of fame.

“‘I hear all the top chefs are smoking joints these days,’ Umm… bit much for the BBC #SaturdayKitchen,” a tweet read.

Two others went on: “Classic quote on #SaturdayKitchen, ‘I hear all the chefs are smoking joints’ brilliant,” and: “”‘Hi Matt. I hear all the top chefs are smoking joints these days.’ Solid. Gold. God bless the BBC @SaturdayKitchen #SaturdayKitchen.”

Another amused user continued: “Hannah from Padstow straight into #SaturdayKitchen hall of fame with, ‘I’ve heard all the top chefs are smoking joints’.”

Meanwhile, returning star Matt was once again a huge hit with those at home, with many calling for him to be James Martin’s permanent replacement.
