Royal wedding: Spice Girls star Mel B hints group will perform at Meghan Markle's wedding

It seems Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have hired the Spice Girls to perform at their wedding after this Mel B interview.

The 42-year-old appeared to admit the band will be attending, but hinted the news was not supposed to be common knowledge.

Mel B appeared on US show The Real today when she made the shock confession.

The singer was asked: “Do you know anybody that you think is gonna go to this wedding.”

Mel B, also known as Scary Spice, said: “Yeah, I’m going… I don’t know if I should’ve said that!”

She added: “Well us five Spice Girls… why am I so honest?”

She was asked whether the band would be performing, to the which the singer threw her hands in the air and said: “This is where I’m just like… I need to go. I’m going to be fired!”

The news might upset any hopeful invitees that have yet to receive an invitation to the wedding.

Prince Harry met the Spice Girls in 1997 after one of their concerts.

Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham, 43, who took the role of Posh Spice in the iconic 90s band, are close friends, according to reports.

Meghan is said to be meeting with the singer-turned-designer for fashion advice.

A friend of Victoria Beckham’s told Vanity Fair: “They get along well and have been in touch recently.

“Meghan really likes Victoria’s style and was keen to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe.

“She loves Victoria’s elegant but smart dresses, so expect her to wear one very soon.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reported to be moving next door to David and Victoria Beckham.

The couple have been reported to searching for high end properties in a beautiful part of the British countryside.
