- The royal wedding of Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, will feature a disco at Frogmore House.
- There will also be ice cream vans serving late night food towards the end of the disco, a source has revealed exclusively to Express.co.uk.
- These details are said to have been inspired by the wedding of Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, in 2011.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding celebrations will end in an after party including a disco and late night food, Express.co.uk can exclusively reveal.
It will include some unexpected twists inspired by the wedding of Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, in 2011.
Firstly, the party will include a disco which takes place at Meghan and Prince Harry’s first choice of wedding venue.
“Prince Harry is planning to use Frogmore House for a disco,” the palace source revealed.
It has also been revealed that the pair will serve late night food for guests towards the end of the party.
For this, they will be taking cues from Kate and Prince William’s wedding by choosing an informal style of food.
“Prince Harry is planning to use ice cream vans the same way they did,” said the source.
At the time of Prince William’s wedding, the Telegraph reported ice cream vans were used to serve an alternative dessert.
It was also reported bacon and sausage sandwiches were made available late at night, at Prince Harry’s request.
However, there will be some key differences compared to Kate and William’s wedding, the source revealed.
“The size of the wedding will be in no way similar to that of Prince William to the Duchess of Cambridge.”
Instead, it will be much more akin to another royal couple: Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
“The wedding will resemble that of Charles and Camilla but unlike them Harry and Meghan will marry in St. George’s Chapel.”
Prince William will be Prince Harry’s best man at the wedding ceremony, it was revealed earlier this week.
Harry has asked his brother Prince William to fulfil the special role, an insider told Express.co.uk exclusively.
Kensington Palace then went on to confirm the news on the official Twitter account.
Asked what role William would be taking in the marriage ceremony, the insider said: “William is Harry’s best man.
“There’s been a lot of banter, but it is 100 per cent going to be the Duke of Cambridge.”
It is known that Prince Harry was the best man for Prince William’s 2011 wedding to the Duchess of Cambridge, so will be able to advise his brother on what he needs to do.
Prince William, whose wife Kate Middleton, 36, this week gave birth to the couple’s third royal baby, will have prime position by Harry’s side during the ceremony.
His role will involve performing ceremonial duties on the day, which most likely include holding the couple’s rings.
