Riverdale season 2: Jughead Jones fate REVEALED? Here's the spoiler YOU missed

Following the tragic end to episode 21 of season two, fans were left in tears as they feared Jughead (played by Cole Sprouse) had been killed.

The Serpent was beaten up by rival gang the Ghoulies and his father FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich) could be seen holding his lifeless body in his arms.

His friends were left in tears as they watched the high school student emerge from the woods.

Fans of the series have been busy trying to spot clues about Jughead’s fate as anxiously await the final episode.

But it seems fans have overlooked a huge clue, which reveals that he will survive.

The synopsis for episode 22, Brave New World, hints that Jughead will reunited with his friends and girlfriend Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart).

A summary for the final reads: “With Fred (played by Luke Perry) trailing in the polls, Archie (KJ Apa) steps in to lend a hand in his dad’s mayoral campaign.

“Veronica (Camila Mendes) stays one step ahead after uncovering Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) latest scheme.

“Elsewhere, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) finalises her emancipation from her mother, while FP makes a surprising announcement to Jughead and the Serpents.

“Finally, Betty confronts her darkest demons.”

With the synopsis revealing that FP will make an announcement to Jughead does it confirm that he will survive?

Meanwhile, for Brave New World which hinted at his fate.

One clip in the trailer shows River Vixen Cheryl joining the South Side Serpents.

She can be seen getting a red biker jacket with the snake logo on the back.

The jacket is wrapped around her shoulders by a mystery figure.

Many have begun to speculate that the hands belong to actor Cole, who stars as Jughead.

However, the star hinted that he will not survive in a cryptic Twitter post.

He told his fans: “Grateful, thank you #riverdale.”

Will Jughead live to fight another day?
