The 77-year-old broadcaster fell victim to a banking scam in 2015, after a woman claiming to be the star withdrew £120,000 from her savings account.
The woman in question was seen on CCTV walking into a Santander branch in Croydon, South London, accompanied by a younger woman and a man, who she claimed were her daughter and grandson.
After speaking to a personal banker, the fraudster handed over a fake driving licence and drained £102,000 from the account that day. A further £18,000 was later taken out.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Gloria spoke about her frustration that her money was so easily accessed.
“What I don’t understand is how four strangers can go in and get my money signed over to them quicker than my husband or I could. It doesn’t make you feel looked after,” the Loose Women host said.
“Banks have no interest to offer you at all. In terms of my age group, the only thing they have done to offer is service and you just don’t get it.”
Santander refunded her the full amount that was taken but unfortunately it was too little, too late for the TV favourite, who said she has now lost her trust in banks.
“You end up feeling absolutely violated,” she continued. “I am a naturally trusting person but sadly I don’t trust any bank now.”
An investigation led by Met and City of London Police, caught the fake grandson Alan Dowie, 18, and accomplice Reyon Dillon, also 18, who received stolen funds.
Both were found guilty but spared jail earlier this month.
The two women involved have still not been identified.
The new series of Rip Off Britain begins on Monday 1st May, at 9.15am on BBC One.
