Richard Keys wife Julia reveals how she spotted affair – signs of cheating revealed

Richard Keys, 60, betrayed his wife when he had an affair with his ill daughter Anna’s friend Lucie Rose, now his girlfriend.

Richard married his wife Julia in 1982. Now Julia, who is not legally divorce from her husband, has broke her silence on the cheating.

She appeared on This Morning to Eamonn and Ruth today to reveal the signs that Richard was doing the dirty on her after many years of marriage and during their daughter’s illness.

He started a relationship with Lucie Rose, 30, who is half his age, in secret – and initially denied the relationship to his wife.

Julia Keys appeared on the ITV programme to reveal how she spotted Richard – who resigned from Sky Sports after video of him acting a sexist manner were leaked – was cheating.

Julia, who is a psychotherapist and counsellor, told the presenters that she was writing a book about cheating when her husbands affair came to light.

She said: “When we were writing about he signs, thats when I started seeing the same signs with Richard.”

She added that the affair blindsided her, saying: “We were really happy together.”

Julia was living in Qatar with her husband at the time and was moving back and forth between Doha.

She said: “I was going backwards and forwards because my daughter wasn’t very well.

“I wrote the book about the suspicion to you start to get and the gut feelings.”

Soon what Julia was writing began to ring true in her own life.

“Rich was overprotective with his mobile phone, sometimes there were late night messages coming in,” Julia explained.

“I asked ‘who was that’ and he just gave some reply. There was something about the way he became a little bit more distant.”

When she asked who was sending him messages late at night, Richard was “defensive and dismissive.”

Julia revealed she found messages on Richard’s phone, and told the presenters: “I found some messages on there which were, in fairness, quite ambiguous and left me a little confused and he was just defensive.

“This is what happens with lots of men when they partner becomes suspicious, they can become quite attacking.”

A recent warning about the signs of cheating revealed that unfaithful men hide their phone bill from their partners.

According uSwitch, more than five million Brits (5.3 million) have admitted to hiding their mobile phone bill from their partner, according to new research by uSwitch, the price comparison and switching service.

This a shocking number, but do we just value are privacy, or is there something far more sinister going on?

A whopping one in seven men or 66 per cent are hiding their phone bills from their partner, while only 9 per cent of women are doing so.
